I married my best friend and soul mate Jason! What a wild ride it's been, but a good one, too! We officially met 16 years ago through mutual friends and were set up on a blind date...and here we are 5 boys later and just celebrated our 11th anniversary, December 16th! I love that we were married around Christmastime, it's such a beautiful time of the year and you can't beat that feeling that in the air at Christmas, either.
This year we finally got around to going on an overnighter somewhere...the last time we did an overnighter was 4 years ago, so we were excited to be able to do it again. My mom was kind enough to come over and stay with the boys for us and we headed up to Logan, Utah to stay at the Anniversary Inn...a romantic room-themed concubine that has all kinds of fun rooms to stay in.
The weather was pretty miserable~ it was rainy down in the valley but once we got closer to Logan it started to snow and the more we got up into the mountains it was coming down really heavy! We took my Sequoia because we figured the roads would suck, and they did! It snowed and was still snowing the next day we left and had really stuck on the roads so we were glad we had a 4x4 at that point.
We stayed in the Aphrodite room...Jason loves Greek mythology and it was nice and romantic for the price. We went out to an excellent restaurant up in Logan called "Elements" and I even took pictures of our food, haha! Really good food at a reasonable price.
We went back to the Inn and watched movies relaxed. Ahhh, it was so nice...cheers to 11 years and counting!
